About Bin Bash Bosh

#!/bin/bash bosh is James Irving-Swift, CTO. I help companies grow by improving how they deliver software—faster, more reliably, and at higher quality. My roles have included developer, Head of Software, Tech Lead, and CTO.

I've worked with companies including TripAdvisor (Holiday Lettings), William Hill, Amenitiz, STFC, 32Red, and Volume (Currys/PC World). At Volume I led software development for digital signage reaching over 100,000 retail screens; at Amenitiz I was Tech Lead, managing cross-team initiatives that improved frontend performance and release pipelines. I've also run technical interviews for Karat with candidates for companies like Pinterest, Roblox, and Indeed.

I'm currently CTO at VegVisits, where I look after platform development, deployment infrastructure, and technical strategy as they approach their Series A.

Alongside consulting and development, I run #!/bin/bash Talent—software development for small and medium businesses, and recruitment for engineering roles, working directly with CTOs and engineering managers to match candidates to roles.
